Interior was recorded during the wee hours of March 2020 in a small town of Bahia. An ordinary bedroom with low-end gear was used to track the songs in an attempt to capture both the spirit and essence of what the title evokes. The album is filled with reference to Brazilian music, ranging from Brazilian waltzes to coco and baião (traditional rhythms of northeastern Brazil). The music stays true to its roots and it does so in a visceral and genuine way while bringing the restlessness and vitality one can only feel when visiting the inlands of this part of the country. This is an intimate record that deserves close listening.

Guitarist and composer Tarcísio Santana Santos began his studies at the Municipal Music Conservatory of Vitória da Conquista, Brazil. He is currently doing his master's degree in Music from Federal University of Bahia.
